My Story ...

Facing the greatest challenges of my life taught me resilience and compassion, deepening my empathy for others. These experiences have not only strengthened me but also allowed me to better serve people.

Going through my divorce was one of the most challenging periods of my life. The uncertainty it brought into my life, and my children’s, was overwhelming. My son was 9, and my daughter was just 4. They were so young, but I’m sure they could feel the sudden instability that had taken over our lives. My ex-husband left me with $6 million in debt, and I was constantly in and out of court to fight against it. The financial strain was suffocating, and the emotional toll was just as heavy. I felt like I was standing at the edge of a cliff, trying to keep us from falling, with no idea what the future held.

But as I faced these challenges, I realized that I had rebuilt my life before. Years earlier, I had left everything I knew behind in Argentina to start a new life in the United States. I was 23 when I made the move, leaving behind my family, friends, and a promising career as a flight attendant. It was a difficult decision, but I was determined to build a life for myself on my own terms. When I arrived in Florida, I had to start from scratch. I didn’t know anyone besides my brother, and I had no job waiting for me. But I had resilience, and I had the determination to make it work. I took on various jobs, from teaching English to working in telecommunications and QA testing, just to make ends meet. I knew that if I could build a life from nothing once, I could do it again.

As I navigated the divorce, I leaned on that resilience. I knew that I couldn’t let the challenges break me because my children were depending on me to create a stable life for them. I needed a path forward, something that would allow me to rebuild our lives, and that’s when real estate became my lifeline. It wasn’t something I had planned, but it became the opportunity I needed.

I started working as an assistant to a top real estate agent and quickly realized that I had a knack for the business. My background in hospitality, property management, and becoming a Certified Home Stager in 2006 all came together to give me a strong foundation. I took what I had learned from my past experiences and applied it to this new venture, creating systems, organizing processes, and taking on more responsibilities than just assisting.

Eventually, I took the leap and went out on my own. It was terrifying—no safety net and no guarantee of success. But I knew I had to make it work. I threw myself into the business, working long hours, taking on every lead, and building my client base from the ground up. Slowly but surely, my hard work paid off. I became a top agent in my office, not because I had a team behind me, but because of my relentless drive and determination. That success came because I am often the first in the office and the last to leave, and I treat every client, no matter the price point of the transaction, with the same level of commitment.

When I look back at what it took to get here, I can’t help but feel proud. My children have grown up watching me rebuild our lives and face challenges head-on. I hope they have learned just as I have that no matter what life throws at you, with resilience and hard work, it’s possible to rebuild and come out stronger on the other side.

After living in Pompano Beach for years, my now new husband, Baron, and I moved to Jupiter Farms in 2024. He and his partner opened a new restaurant in PBG, where I help with some design and brunch elements, and we bought our dream home here. This has marked a new chapter for me, expanding my business here and becoming involved in the community! In my free time, I’m constantly on the go, enjoying creative projects like decorating, crafting, and sewing. Baron and I also enjoy collecting bourbon and traveling.

As a licensed REALTOR®, it truly is an honor and privilege to connect with people during some of the most important moments of their lives. My own experiences, from moving to a new country to rebuilding my life after a difficult divorce, have made me deeply compassionate toward my clients. I understand the emotional and financial stress that can come with buying or selling a home, and I’m committed to guiding my clients through the process with care, empathy, and dedication. My journey has taught me the importance of resilience and trust, and I bring that understanding to every client relationship, ensuring they feel supported and confident every step of the way.

Sincerely,

Milva Skorish
