Moving to Grand County twenty-plus years ago has transformed my life. I’m in constant-awe of my surroundings, e.g. the mountains, its valleys and the wide open skyscapes – I daily express gratitude for living here. Next time you’re near Granby Ranch (2 min down the road from my neighborhood, Innsbruck-Val Moritz, which is about 20 + minutes from Winter Park), I’d love to share one of my favorite hikes with you, to the top of the west mountain, up through the aspen grove which overlooks the Continental Divide, the Granby Ranch slopes and Lake Granby in the distance, and back down to the parking lot across from the Gazebo – it takes about just about an hour at a leisurely pace. When you live anywhere close to Granby Ranch, you’ll likely find yourself on these trails several days a week.
What I love about real estate is connecting with people and the excitement of it all, searching for and ultimately finding the perfect vacation property or primary home, OR helping my clients sell their property so they can close one chapter in their lives and move seamlessly to the next. Many times people will start out small to test the waters, only to find that after a year or so, they’re ready to upgrade to spend even more time in the mountains!
On a personal note, I hail from Pennsylvania but I have been living in Colorado since 1995 – first in Boulder & Longmont, and then to Grand County in 1998. I’m an alumna of CU-Boulder, a former high school English teacher, an animal lover, a freelance writer, and an avid cross-country skier, hiker & golfer. I’m married to the one great love in my life (Mark Strayer, President of Sawtooth Mountain Builders) and we have two yellow labs, Boondocks & Brie.
